Sandwich PhD and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Programme: 2010-2011

The Science and Technology Service of the French Embassy in India has launched this programme to develop and strengthen its scientific cooperation with Indian science community. This fellowship programme is intended for highly qualified Indian doctoral and postdoctoral students and offer them an excellent opportunity to do research of their own choice in France.
The Science and Technology Service works on development of cooperation with Indian scientific organisations engaged in R&D programmes of all the disciplines.

A	Doctoral Students	Part of thesis work in France	6 to 12 months	767 €/month + travel + insurance
B	Postdoctoral students	Research in France	3 to 6 months	1300 €/month + travel + insurance

Application requirements:
At the time of their application, applicants for Sandwich PhD and Post-Doctoral fellowship must
a) be able to prove their excellent study and research achievements
b) have registered for PhD in a recognised Indian university/ institute for Type A or with a
doctorate degree for Type B.
c) have publish at least ONE research article in national/international journals for Type A or at
least TWO research article in national/international journals for Type B.
d) have a confirmed acceptance letter from French host in prescribe format for Type A-B
e) be at most 35 years for Type A or at most 38 for Type B

Deadline for registration : 30th November 2009
Result announcement : January 2010
Starting date of scholarship from : March 2010 onwards
